Your computer, new scripts, additional features, more factions. The vanilla campaign script is a tiny withered thing compared to the SS script with full features. How long is your end of the turn time?
more then 1 minut in early era..... in late u don't imagine lol, vanilla its only 6/7 secs... lol
Well, most of my games are heavily modified ... in terms of text stuff, models, scripts etc. ATM, my end turn takes around 2-3 minutes .... so .... not that bad IMHO. Guess im pretty much addicted .... lol ... anyway ... PATIENCE is a virtue![]()
OFT: SS is like a well prepared racing car ... you simply have to wait a bit to get the ultimate experience

In my games, during the first 30 turns, it always goes with the same speed as vanilla end of turns. But from then on it gets slower and slower, to the point of taking minutes. Which is fine for me, since the first turns are all about getting things organized and the basics done, and if they go fast cool, and then it's just a matter of slowly expanding, and since in each turn you can fight like 2-3 siege battles or field battles, the end turn time is basically a blink of an eye.
You can customize your scripts to make the turn times shorter.
^Oh wow that looks very useful. I should probably peruse through the submods more often.
I am frequently amazed to find that these 'long end of turn time' problems are really about a couple of minutes.
To cure worries about turn time lengths, play one turn with the FOW turned off. After you've spent an hour waiting for the AI to do everything, you'll be positively delighted at having sixty seconds to grab a biscuit or open a drink.

I believe Serbian Hussar had a submod which made the turn times really fast
Hmm well the only downside from the sub-mod was that when you load or start your campaign it takes a long time but once you get it, BAM its fast turns from then on. Also I think you don't get those notifications of princesses or deaths of kings anymore. I don't know what else Serbian Hussar removed.
Anybody have a link to serbian hussars submod?
Meh, couldn't really care about turn times, this great mod is more then worth it. Plus I just alt tab during turns, the somewhat transparent title bar on W7 allows you to see the factions as they rotate and if diplomacy or a battle needs you.
