    Default Villa of Decimus Numerius Arrius


    Biography
    Decimus comes from a relatively new political family in Rome, a plebeian one. He was born in Arretium, in a family of five children, and moved in his childhood to Rome. His family mainly moved to Rome to make their fortunes. After Grammaticus he decided to study Rhetorica and was sent to Rhodes, where he further studied speaking. After a long study he returned to Rome and lay back for a while before entering politics. He was the first amongst his family to do so. While not the Pater Familiae, he's still fairly respected in his family.
