Cant Play Videos Properly
My laptop cant play videos such as the ones found at google video or youtube right. They all come out blocky and with the wrong colours (mainly different shades of green). What could be causing this? How can i fix the problem?
Basic laptop specs: 1.7Ghz AMD Sempron CPU
512mb RAM
Radeon X700 128mb GPU
EDIT: Its some videos. Im not sure you see its my brother laptop really (said it was mine for simpleness) but he complains that it doesnt play videos right. He has 2 that hes got saved, one of this thing he went to with his friends its all green blue and orange fir some reason and another video he has (paris hilton  ) plays fine though. he tried the video with his friends on another person laptop and it worked alright.

Re: Cant Play Videos Properly
for those sites im not sure how they work exactly, if the videos are played in a format specific to macromedia flashplayer or if that player is simply playing traditionaly encoded files.
But a good place to start it to make sure you have the latest version of flash.
If you have problems with other kinds of videos, for example avi files, then you likely dont have the correct codecs installed. If this is the case then you should download AVI Codec from here:

Re: Cant Play Videos Properly
Some videos or all videos?
If it's just the videos you listed, then does it have a problem playing from your browser, or does the problem persist even when downloaded?
if the latter:
Try reinstalling your video drivers, it you haven't already.
How is your codec situation? I'd try installing a large pack that contains everything you might need like the K-Lite Mega Codec Pack, as well as a good media player (or try reinstalling WMP).
If none of these works, try reinstalling windows in case a necessary file got corrupted.
Does the problem happen anywhere else? When you play games? When you watch a DVD?
If it's the former, then the problem is almost certainly with your browser, and reinstalling it or switching to another browser will fix it.
