The title pretty much says it. What shows have you seen in your life that you think are so entrenched heavily in the depths of your mind that you will never forget them, and will always jump on the opportunity to watch them again and again. We all have that little TV show that had that little TV character that we had our first crush on, or felt really really close to - And through that became our favorite TV star.

I came to a realization about mine when I said goodbye to Stargate SG-1 with a tear and a sniffle, one of the best times of my life and definitely the better part of my childhood and adolescence were shared with this show, said goodbye to Gilmore Girls with the series finale on rerun (Again), feeling truly heartbroken yet satisfied, and also recently watching Band of Brothers and relating heavily to many, many things that are shown there - Especially from a soldier's point of view.

So to recap, mine are Stargate SG-1, Gilmore Girls and Band of Brothers. Startling contrasts now that I think of it, but those are the three with no doubt about it.

    So, what show's yours?

Analysis should not be diverted by reflections upon the zeal with which the victors at the end of the Second World War punished the defeated for war crimes. The victors were animated by the ideals of the Atlantic Charter and of the United Nations. The Universal Declaration of Human Rights was about to peep over the eastern horizon. But first, they wanted a little hanging.

1.Battlestar Galactica (2003), loved it, despite the (IMO) weak ending I will always love it, just watched the series through again recently, gold. A true space soap opera with great characters and enough space battles and twists to stay awesome... really wish that blood and chrome or whatever had come to pass

    2. House. not the crap going on now but the 1st few seasons when it was still rather fresh and they weren't desperately reaching for ideas and romances

    3. A Game of Thrones,Still very early on this one but I adored the 1st season and I think this series has potential to have a lasting effect on me.

    • Scrubs (love the quirky humor, still laugh at most jokes )
    • Battlestar Galactica (the recent one)
    • Game of Thrones (I know I know, it's season 1 but I'm pretty sure the other seasons are going to just as amazing)
    • My Little Pony:Friendship is magic ()
    • House (Love it, not sure why)

That pretty much sums it up...

I'm currently watching SG-1 and Atlantis for the first time...I will be sad when both are done.

24 was sort of a big deal to me, although I didn't get into it until 2009.

Monk: I didn't get into it until it was a couple seasons in but it has had a lasting influence on me. I cried during the series finale, and I am not afraid to admit it.

Friday Night Lights: did not get into it until my Small Group Communications teacher made us watch the first season in class...And I was hooked. It will also have a lasting influence on me because, when I wanted to thank the teacher for getting me into it after watching the end of the fifth and final season, I discovered he had died from cancer .

The 4400: Really what got me into sci-fi. I was depressed for a long time when I found out that it had been cancelled.

    And several more...
Things I trust more than American conservatives:

Drinks from Bill Cosby, Flint Michigan tap water, Plane rides from Al Qaeda, Anything on the menu at Chipotle, Medical procedures from Mengele

Man, I swear I've never been as sad about a show ending than SG-1. I really loved it.

Babylon 5 was just awesome. I loved it so much, and I will remember it, but for some odd reason it's just not one of my forever lasting shows.

    Burn Notice
And recently I'm really liking The Closer.
Also The Unit. I avoided watching that show for so long thinking it would be cheesy and stupid and I actually really enjoyed it. Dennis Haysbert(the All State guy) will always be Jonas Blane to me; an excellent character.

While I thought the Wire was perfect television I found going back and rewatching it difficult for some reason.

That's one of the few shows out there where you'd have a damn hard time recasting any character from the main cast. Was always fun to watch, though I liked the episodic format they had for the first three seasons better than the almost-serial they had for the fourth.
