Well, you can get information about your PC through Start->all programs->accessories->system tools->system information

but what do you want with it? The rest of your sentence is ambiguous (and not very well constructed, with all due respect). Do you want us to make your computer faster so that you don't have to keep your settings on low? Not much chance of that I'm afraid. Defragment your hard drive, to start with, and you can try dabbling into overclocking (CPU and GPU) using one of the guides here, but be careful, it's risky.

dude, that doesn't tell me anything. Lack of RAM could be the problem, as it could be old CPU, old motherboard, old graphics card, or even old hard drive. I think I'm starting to understand. Do you want us to tell you what to upgrade from your PC to make it more powerful?

Post your system specs, tell us what your specific problem is (if you have one) or what is troubling you (do you just want it faster) and we will tell what can be done, you might not like the answer though.

You can either go through your system information through windows, or google 'cpuz' download it and tell us what it says your system has.
Basically we (I) need to know what cpu you have (brand (Pentium or AMD) and speed (in Ghz), how much ram you have, and what video card you have.

Thing is though, if your computer is old, there is now magic fix to make newer games (even though RTW is old now) run it well, except either upgrading (costs money), or building/buying a new one (costs more money).

Go to this site and select Rome total war from the list and click on the 'Can you run it button' then you get a pop-up and you have to click yes so it can scan your PC.

Then you can see what things you have to upgrade to make it run better (good) .

Can you make a print screen of the page? Thats easier then typing it all.

I had nearly the same configuration as you!

I increased my RAM to 512, and changed my videocard too, I wouldn't know what to recommend you though, I'm not a techie guy.

did you download that extra bit of video card

You have to buy a new one, and have it installed into your pc. Videocards are hardware, meaning 'substantial', not software.

Mind you, these hardware-bits are pretty expensive... I'd leave it to an expert.

But you can can download drivers, I suggest you try updating them, they will probably make a small (if not large) difference. If I'm not mistaking this is the latest driver for your videocard.

I say: get an ATI or NVidia card for certain. But for the exact model I suggest you go to the local hardware-store and ask for expert advice.

Just to clarify: you can't download video cards, RAM, CPU, sound card, etc. Those are actual items inside your computer case that you can open up and see. At this point we can't download 3d objects yet. The only things you can download are programs (I don't know any) that get rid of background processes in your computer so you have more RAM to work with. You can also try to overclock your CPU, but seeing that your knowledge on computers seems a bit limited, I'd suggest not fooling around with it as it can literally make your computer burn itself out. Basically, get some expert opinion from some of the techier people here or go to a store and ask.
