    Icon1 Roman command level problem

    Salve,
All of my roman family members and generals have basically no command skill at all at least one star maybe two and when I play say a Carthaginian campaign they level fine but the Romans don't, I don't know if this is some kind of gameplay element to cultivate strategy or if its a glitch please help if anybody can.

    thanks.

How difficult are the fights you're getting into? Generally speaking, if you have lower odds in your favor, you're more likely to get Stars. Unfortunately for the Romans, they have *really* good units, so they typically don't have the odds against them. Also, fight frequently with that general - I tend to get a Star for *something* if my general has had three or more fights in that turn (including AI turns). I'm not sure if the amount of personal combat a General engages in affects his chance to get a Star, but I'm pretty sure that Intelligence does.
I beat back their first attack with ease. Properly employed, E's can be very deadly, deadlier even than P's and Z's, though they're not as lethal as Paula Abdul or Right Said Fred.

Oh okay yeah I play on medium if that's what you are asking and yeah I think that makes a bit of sense but all my men have no stars and Scipio Africanus has about two then looses one but I will keep that in mind, its probably something on my part sometimes.

No, I didn't mean the Battle Difficulty. I mean the force comparison. For example, taking 2 Hastati and 2 Principes to deal with 12+ other units is a harder fight than taking a full-stack to deal with a random 4-unit Rebel stack. If you did the former (and won) you'd be more likely to get a Star than in the latter case.
