Default Crusade tax ruined nobility.... help!

Hello everyone, I'm doing a campaign with the Holy Roman Empire. i am in the year 1281, the pope proclaimed a crusade to Jerusalem, and after several turns my emperor is dead, and I can not go on a crusade because the turn to join crusade are over. the tax on crusade continues (I think this tax is useless when the turns to join crusade are over, because if I can no longer participate in the crusade, because I have to pay this tax??) and I have nine nobles with debt and they are banished..... I can do something to get them back from exile??
    Sorry for my english

You can capture Jerusalem yourself to end Crusade. The banished nobles are probably more difficult to rescue as each one must pay back his debt which means capturing cities and sacking. Usually 2-3 cities per noble. If your FL dies usually a general pardon is issued so that is the easiest way to redeem the nobles but they would still have to pay back their debts so pick the best ones and forget about the rest is probably only advice I would give. If you want more specific help you should go to BGR submod thread. http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showthread.php?t=106060

What I really think is that BGR needs a subforum of it`s own. So that one doesn`t have to crawl through that horrible, horrible thread...

Yes it is a bit cramped, but it does not affect users posting questions. Best to just download the PDF manual.

The crusade tax feature can be dangerous if you don't handle it well.

I gambled that the ai would take a crusade target fairly quickly, before my nobles had donated all their money so I made no attempt to join the crusade, especially as my FL and heir needed their armies in another war. However the ai took it's time and though my treasury would have benefited I lost about five or six nobles to debt. A costly gamble. Eventually the ai crusade armies all died so the crusade ended, thank 'god'.

Yea, mate, I wasn`t trying to say anything bad. I just feel that having a subforum with separate threads for various questions people might have about BGR features would be more user friendly than having just one thread (though this would prolly mean more work for the forum mods )
