A new book by photographer Lindsay McCrum titled “Chicks with Guns” explores and celebrates women’s gun ownership across the United States. And we got the pictures to prove it.

Around 20 million women own guns in the United States. Despite that substantial group, women are not regularly depicted in popular culture as defenders and practitioners of firearms tradition. McCrum decided to change that.
    Source and this

The concept of this new book is simple : Women + Gun

More importantly is tries to change the paradigm of the NRA types as gun waving Red Necks to Gun Waving ... Women it seems.

You opinions about this book and would such kind of effort have an impact on culture ?

There are alot of women shooters out there, especially in the competitive shooting sports. So much so that there are several gun magazines on the racks devoted specifically towards women shooters.

Not cool. Guns are not cool. Call me a hippie, but that picture with all the animals heads makes me feel sick.

Guns are fun, they really can be Eire. I don't get the stupid trophy bullcrap though.
"Yeah I killed this animal by surprise with the complete advantage and had stuffing shoved up it's ass!"
I don't mind killing animals, hell I've been eating a deer my grandfather killed for the past few months. But why hang it on your wall?

Guns are sweet. There is no easier way to get a bunch of guys at work together then to say "hey lets go shooting". Even the most liberal anti-gun people can be persuaded to go out and have some fun shooting.
