Default The Temperary Iberian War Council

The Iberians of Nabudis and Portugal united in the War Council to organize themselves for the Reconquista. D. João I presided the Council together with d. Selene II. Together with Portugal went d. Gonçalo Fernandes, Count of Alentejo, d. Manuel Gonçalves, King of the Algarve, d. Antônio Henriques, Count of the Extremadura, d. José Henriques, Count of the Beira, and, as an observer, d. Henrique Gonçalves, King of Galiza, Heir to the Throne of Portugal.

We are all gathered here today so that we can discuss our proposals for the attack on the moors, as well as decide already before hand the division of territories if our endiever is successful... Began d. João, looking at all of them in a non-cerimonial fashion, as if it was a company president talking to his head staff about administrative business. If you will, Dona Selene... Said he with respect, so that she could show her point of view in the matter.

"Three front attack. One from Nabudis, heading towards Grenada, another Army attacks from Portugal and heads towards Cordoba, then the third is a joint army that lands with the navy in Gibraltar and pushes northward. After each army secures it's objective, half of the remaining force will push inward. This should trap the Moors between the three armies while the navies prevent reinforcment."

Agreed. Said d. João. The Portuguese Navy will attack all the Moorish ships in the region and keep constant vigil over the area. We should call Britannia, the Greeks and the Scotish to aid us, that will permit us to save our numbers until the moorish threat is completely anihalated.

ooc: sorry for the wait, RL stuff :S

"No,no, and no. The Scotiae are too far, and the other two have their own issues to deal with I believe. I'd prefer to request aid from L'Royamue or other Kingdoms that actually could benefit from the destruction of the Moors. As to the Navy, yes, the Navies will seek the Moorish fleet out and engage them, then ensure no support can arrive.."

You are right of the Scots and the British, but what of the Greeks? They will surely gain from the leave of the Moorish from the tradeline in Gibraltar, and their imense force would come in handy. The french would also be of great help, I agree. These two powers would be good with you, my lady? Asked d. João

I do not like your stealing of a Round Table picture. You will hear from the Camelot Copyright Department for this!
