    Default INdian Faction

Is there a mod where i could control an Indian faction, such as the Mauryan, Chola or Pandyan empire. I have version 1.5.

Not that i know of no, but RES GESTAE, which is for 1.5 will feature the mauryan empire as a faction, look in the modifcation and conversion projects sub forum for the thread about it.

Europa Barbarorum is meant to be a good mod that stretches the map to India. The factions are in the link. It doesn't have the factions you mentioned though.

For BI timeline, Ages of Darkness. Not in the current version, but in the next one. Current version only has 16 factions, the future one will have 20+.

This takes you to the official preview (with faction list) on my forum which is also posted on TWC .

This takes you to the Gupta wip screenshots, which you can only find on the official AOD forum.

So, if you like the BI timeline, or just the Golden age of India under the Gupta dinasty. Stay with me... I'll help you .

Rise of Persia features the Pandyans, but our beta is currently for version 1.2. However Nero is currently porting everything to 1.5, so if you wait a little longer you can play with Pandya.

Had a look at your mod, looks amazing! The Pandya were a Indian tamil faction. How come you dont have a "Surya Warriors" (Warriors of the Sun) unit. This was one of the most feared infantry units in ancient India, documented in many tales such as the Mahabarata. They had a sword, round shild and a bow an arrow. Equally strong with both weapons and alternated between the two during battle. Many of their decendants still live today and are held in high regard in places such as Srilanka
