    Default Missile Range?

    Is there a way to know the range of the missile units in game?

    it's kinda frustrating to look up the EDU
    every time I want to know how far your missile units can shoot..

    The only way to differentiate the range of archers is to see whether or not they have the long range missile attribute.

    You have it in EDU file.

    This line is taken from Dismounted Bekh Druzhina entry, iirc they have the best range.

    stat_pri 6, 3, exceptional_mass_composite_arrow, 220, 30, missile

    220 is the range value.

    Thanx for the reply~
    is there a way to add additionaly stats(i.e. range) to the in-game-unit-discription by modding?
    I'm a bit willing to try it myself, if it isn't so hard..

    The only way to do it would be to manually add the range to each missile unit's description in SS6.3\data\text\export_units.txt. Easy enough, just time consuming

    Thanks~ I guess I'll have to try it when I have some time ^^;
    Maybe I'll just start by the factions I play.
    And maybe the AOR units and mercs in those regions

    Just got curious now.. about how many missile units are there in the file, totally?

    I just wrote down 149 different missile units, I might have skipped 1 or 2 but they were unimportant militia or peasant ranged units.
