"War is an ugly thing, but not the ugliest of things. The decayed and degraded state of moral and patriotic feeling which thinks that nothing is worth war is much worse. The person who has nothing for which he is willing to fight, nothing which is more important than his own personal safety, is a miserable creature and has no chance of being free unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself." Ok, its 575 AUC. money is still really tight. I lost a settlement to the Averni after cooking some better troops and next turn Im in the red.- next 2 turns, farther in the red. battles and traits are going well( they're all alcoholics!). Oh, and on the loading screen, the German proverb is the only quote that shows up.

The quote is something DVK pointed out already, in each campaign there is a single quote because having a range of quotes seems to be the cause of the after battle CTD's.

less quotes = less CTDs?..I can live with that.

579 AUC. have expanded to four settlements and building. gameplay is smoother. money is better now. feels balanced. I am starting to get hit from rebels and Averni now but not overwhelming. no CTDs. traits fit the scenario so far

Hey all. 602t1 AUC Averini wont leave me alone! they attack with half or full stacks nearly every turn. for the most part I beat em back and force diplomacy them into a ceasefire. Then they're back at it again. Money seems pretty even. Screenshots to follow
