Default Problem reinstalling alexander onto new PC

I bought Alexander expansion when it was first released as a digital download. Now I want to install it onto my new PC and into my digital download copy of Rome Gold. The old setup file gets as far as the trymedia activation window, then stops to complain about internet connections and fiddling with security and firewalls etc. This I do, but the trymedia site seems to be down or not responding.

Is there a way i can get around the activation process on my new PC?

First of all welcome to TWC!

You need to contact Trymedia - no one else can help you.

I think this is the support web page: here.

Good News. Thanks Brusilov. Your link actually got me to a trymedia page that opened. All day, while I was trying, there appeared to be no such place. Very strange. But the upshot is that the support and activation went fine and I now have a working Alex. Hoorar.

Thanks again, and also for the welcome.

    No problems enjoy R:TW.

I'd suggest trying a mod of the original game - they transform the original. There is a mod for most time frames. I've tried most of them and each has it's good points.

If you do try a mod I'd suggest taking a copy of your R:TW install and applying the mod to the copy. That way your original install will be unaffected by any mod.
