Carthage campaign
This is my latest try of Carthage, 1turn, H/H.
I wasn't able to make screenshots yet, instead I will give a short summary of my impressions.
Balance:
Is good, because of many underdeveloped settlements I can barely afford 1 full stack. I didn't take Rome but withdraw with both armies, instead capturing 2 other small settlements in Spain.
There could be more resistance in my main lands around Carthago though, no free people uprisings there. Gallaeci are not very aggressive, but this is of course hardcoded random AI and so on.
What I observed so far:
1. I would suggest to have a look at - construction cost% boni. They are adding up to 37% at my national leader (with geometer ancillary, hard worker, intelligent, draughtsman, superior builder). Maybe a little much.
2. Ethnics. They work well when adopting, but not for husbands. They really get no ethnic background most of the time, like Carth. Aristocrat (Sons), or Iberian Chieftain (adoption). Intended?

Re: Carthage campaign
Let me do a little explaining about how these 'class' triggers have to work, and why 'sometimes' the class doesn't show up right away.
You'll note that in the following set of triggers, I am trying to assign a class to a character that has the trait 'MoHAdopted'.....this is a trait given to every general that is recruited by the player thru a 'BrotherAdopted' event.
In order to randomly assign 3-4 different traits, you need a series of triggers that both give the opportunity for it to be random, and also ensure that 'something' will be assigned. It is different for each faction, in a sense, and more complicated for the Carthaginians because there are four choices. I've had to test various series of triggers a bunch in order to get the right combination that will assure 'a' trait is assigned, and that they won't all be the same trait.
This method of class assignment does not work with 'ComesOfAge, OfferedForAdoption, etc.' event conditions, because the trigger only fires once, then it's done. If it didn't assign a class, then it never will be assigned.
So I can only use these kinds of events to assign the 'ruling class' class...that being in this case Carthaginian Aristocrat.

These triggers below basically assign 'Carthaginian Aristocrat' to any general who comes of age, is adopted, or is offered for marriage regardless of whatever class he had before.
The chance of this is 100%, so if a Mercenary Captain is adopted, he becomes an Aristocrat, and so on.

Now, that's the way it's 'supposed' to work, anyway. All family members of Carthage should be Aristocrats (as they would be, as the ruling class). Only recruited, none adopted generals have the chance of having other classes. Otherwise, you'd have a mix of different classes in the family (ruling class), which wouldn't be very historical.
If family members are being assigned nothing...well then, there's a problem.
