Ruins of Istakhr

Upon the ruins of Istakhr the ground begins to shake, thousands of men and horses march to the defining battle of the Eastern kingdoms. King Badur of the Confederation arrives first at the head of over 60,000 men.
"By the gods my sister is taking her time isn't she. have the men set up camp, double watch and send some cavalry out to see where Dakros and my dear sister are."

three hours later his scouts return to inform him that General Dakros is approaching at the head of almost 70,000 men.
"Without the southern kingdoms we won't last long against them, order the cavalry out to harrass them and send a messenger to find my sister. Tell her to bloody forcer march her army here.

General Dakros looks up from his horse at the cloud of smoke rising over the horizon.
"Looks like we are not the first to arrive, set the men up into battle formation, archers up front and send the light cavalry out to find out what we are up against."

30,000 Saldoi Infantry(Soldier Medium Infantry)
14,000 Seldoi Assault Warriors (Professional Heavy Infantry)
10,000 Saldoi Archers (Soldiers Infantry Archer Hybrid)
10,000 Saldoi Scouts (Recruit Light Cavalry)
5,000 Saldoi Cavalry (Soldier Heavy Cavalry)

With the blowing of a dozen horns the infantry stop and immediately spread out into lines while the heavy cavalry take up positions on the right flank.


OOC: the first battle will be between the Seldoi Scouts (8,000) and King Badurs cavalry (5,000 light cavalry, 2,000 javelin cavalry). I assume I will not be able to conduct the fight myself?

Ok. This is just the cavalr fight though, the real fight will not happen until after Southern States arrive (if the cavalry delay is successful) or until after the cavalry are routed (if the delay is not successful). I do not believe the cavalry fight requires much info other than the terrain, numbers and plans.

Terrain-Rolling hills with some trees dotted about. King Badur's cavalry is on the hills to the far right while Dakros' are right in the foreground.

Plans. Dakros' plan is to route the enemy cavalry in one fell swoop allowing him to later use his infantry superiority and cavalry numbers to destroy King Badur's army.
King Badur's plan is to harrass Dakros' forces and hold him in place with cavalry strikes giving him time to send word to his sister.

Okay, you wanted me to do this right? If so, how do battles work, are they by Rolls or do the mods decide?

Both. Rolls are used for casualty numbers, RP and logic is used for who dies.

I'm about ready to make it entirely the old system, as while this one makes more sense and IMO would be more fun, nobody gets it.
