right, thought i'd introduce myself considering this is my first post in here. I've played RTW since it came out, mainly the original and BI, but thought i'd give this mod a go aswell. I started with 6.0 playing as rome and had africa, the greek/bysantine region along with gaul and the iberian peninsula. got pretty bored having to defend my border cities almost every turn, with 4-6 major engagement, fighting the same battle over and over. building this empire took me until bc 190 and with no sign of the marian reforms i decided on trying 6.1 and a new set of tactics.
Now this is where my problem lies, i'm not really for blitzing about the map, but when i get the opertunity to take a city without much effort i do it. this has lead to me securing the same regions i had in 6.0 in about one third of the time. the germans pose no real threat, gaul, carthage, the iberian rebels, thraze, macedon and the greek cities are gone, and i'm pretty much the only super power. but lately it has started to fall apart from the inside. alot of my cities are rebelling and the only way to avoid ending up in deabt every turn is to take and exterminate new cities and regions, the unhappy and rebellious cities destroy the vital building such as palaces, sewers and temples, it's dificult to rebuild in order to gain order bonuses. by the way; i destroy as many buildings as posible when i take a new town, do every building previously belonging to a diferent faction produce culture penalty or is it just the odeons, taverns and temples?
any advice would be apriciated, but i might have to abandon this campaign and start over with a more cautious aproach
