How to get peace treaties...?

everytime i offer a ceasefire, it is declined, how do i properly get a ceasefire, do i have to offer a lot of denarii?
and also how do u properly get alliances

Unfortunately the diplomacy AI has always been a bit broken with RTW. I believe there is a "force diplomacy" submod in the works, which allows you to force the AI into making better decisions (accepting peace treaties etc.). For now you'll just have to put up with it I'm afraid.

Diplomacy on anything above Medium is fairly pointless unfortunately.

ye, im playing on vh/h map/battle difficulty and I dont want to fight on so many fronts, but they just wont accept ceasefires -.-

it also depends on if the AI faction youre dealing with is predisposed to liking you or not...
