Chariot numbers
finally . i found a place of asking this question ..
i like to use chariots , and elephants ..
but after my chariots suffer losses , after retraining the chariot numbers did not regain full strengh, only their men on the chariots ..
so , if total number of chariots in a full strength chariot unit is = 36
the total number of men in that unit is 36 x 3 = 108 ( cos each chariot carries 3 men )
so , after a battle with 16 chariots lost , i am left with 60 men ( cos 20 x 3 men on each chariot )
after retraining , i still get 60 men rather than 108 men.
There is something funny about this . after retraining i actually get 108 men on that unit ,. but once i use it in battle . it is left with 60 men straightaway..
sometimes , it happens with elephants or dogs ...
isit bug or something ?

Re: Chariot numbers
The reason for this is most likely that when you "retrain" you just do a weapon upgrade (town does not allow recruitment of that unit type so can't replenish the troops either), and when you do it in proper place then you get the actual retraining you wanted.

Re: Chariot numbers
i did the retraining part in the very place the unit is born , so i dont think its just a weapon upgrade .
last time , it doesnt happen on dogs and elephants , but now , sometimes they do ..

Re: Chariot numbers
Only other thing that comes to my mind is that the city doesn't have enough people inside to refill the unit (minimum is 400 + number of soldiers the unit is missing).
Maybe someone more experienced can help with better info.
