I've just bought this DLC campaign in the Steam sale and decided to start by playing French. I was looking for a guide of some sort to provide me with basic hints and tips. I note that the general consensus seems to be that victory in the French Peninsula Campaign is easy, but I can;t see any explanation or guide on how to achieve it. I'm just stating out so any tips would be useful.

Has anyone seen one, so far I just see a Spanish guide?

Cut taxes on the poor, disband some extra units in the interior regions (near the pyrenees) then just charge straight for Gibraltar. Wellington's army is the only considerable threat for France and it disappears as soon as you take the only British territory on the map.

I just cranked up a French campaign in the Peninsular, and Wellington sets out from Portugal - and hits up north.

It seems like a logistical campaign more than anything, and I'm enjoying it.

I'll be keen to see what T.C. and Europe in conflict do with it because they are introducing manpower feature.
