Battle Glitch as HE (Frome)

Playing as HE under Frome 2.5, when defending the eastern settlement you Start with outside the town gets you to a mountain map. Attacked 4 Orc armies before they could siege and always get the same map.

Anyhow, archers show they have range, are listed as firing, bow and arrow on the unit card, but they are stuck reloading. The last time was really annoying as the Orcs didn't climb to engage, so I had to decend almost down the entire mountain to get them to actually fire.

Anyone know what is going on? I am not sure if it's isolated to this map or all mountain maps. Am I getting false in range indications?

it's a standard m2 bug, hills extend the range of your archers but at the same time archers have a maximum range limit... which they fail to grasp and hence the firing bug where they don't actually shoot

defend from inside the town or on a nearby bridge, much more fun
