Unit Types:
Emirs of Dubai Elite Light Cavalry (Unique Unit) - Men born into the nobility of Dubai, though the lower echelons, serving with the light cavalry. Wearing light armor and riding the fleetest Arabian stallions, these men are extremely fast and maneuverable, making them excellent ambushers and good for removing enemy archers. Conversely, due to their lack of heavy armor, they are vulnerable to most heavy units, and like all cavalry terrible when facing spears.
Horse Archers Veteran Horse Archers - Though more commonly attributed to the eastern steppes, Arabia also field formidable troops of horse archers.
Palace Guard Elite Heavy Infantry (Unique Unit) - Highly accomplished warriors, veterans of the uniting wars, hand picked by the Sheikh to guard his many palaces. In times of war, they form their regiments at the heart of the battle line, like a rock. Their heavy armor keeps them alive, whilst their formidable axes, a foreign weapon, shears through all but the thickest of plate armor. This comes at a price, however, as they are slow moving, and particularly vulnerable to fleet, fast moving cavalry.
Emirati Swordsmen Professional Medium Infantry - The middle class of Emirati people, voluntarily fighting for their Sheikh. Equiped with standard armor, and equipped with light sabres, these men form the next layer of the Emirati fighting machine, holding the enemy nicely.
Levy Infantry Veteran Light Infantry - Curiously named, the levy infantry is anything but. Training most months of the year in stifling desert heat, these men form the stable of the army, performing actions to risky for the heavier infantry. These men are also veterans, unwillingly, of the uniting wars.
Spearmen Soldier Spearmen - No description needed, pure and simple soldiers, equipped with spears to take down enemy cavalry. This unit is the bread and butter of the Emirati army.
Wadhi Marah Archers Professional Archers - Trained on Wadhi Marah island, these archers complement their mounted counterparts perfectly, ensuring the sun is blocked by arrows.
