Things to Try

Lately, I've been getting bored with the campaigns easily. For some reason, no mods work for me, so I made my own (look in my sig for it) and I liked it but I'm getting bored again.

Anyway, does anyone have challenging, funny, or stupid things to try in the campaign?
I prefer stupid things... Much more fun.

Any ideas?

Stupid? Well, you could always try recruiting only Militia units

To be honest I just roleplay a little bit, take things 'personally' sometimes. As in, with the Byzantines in my current campaign, I was in a middle of a gigantic war with the Fatimids along with the Templars (Stainless Steel), and Turkey suddenly attacked me when I was weak, so I had two 'legions' ready in Constantinople, ready to ship off to Egypt, but instead I just diverted them to Turkey because I actually did get annoyed by the attack

Roleplaying does it for me. As for stupid stuff, I don't know... You could try renaming every city you conquer to something naughty. I saw my brother do that and I gotta say it was pretty funny, but got old after a while.

Play as rebels and conquer the entire map
Play as Mongols in the Teutonic campaign
Win a long campaign with immaculate reputation on VH/VH
Use a lot of assassins and in the Crusades campaign
Defeat the entire Timurid invasion in 2 turns.

I'll start a campaign as Milan, make everything military based, make an alliance with everyone, and every time someone moves their armies from home, I'll backstab them! Then I'll take Rome and blockade everyone's ports to start a war, then I'll storm Valencia in Spain!! Then I'll take Dijon and sack it because I hate mustard.

One thing I've recently started to love, is the "Habsburg strategy"

You rule your empire with one family, everyone with the same last name, and accept no adoptions or external marriages. Works best with Scotland, Milan, Venice, Byzantium or Spain, since those are the only ones that actually have family names

The Habsburgs had several branches though, and many of their dynasty did not have the same last name. Also Turkey and Egypt have "ad-Dawlah"

Yeah, I hoped you would understand the use of quotation marks, seriously. But no matter, that was not the point.

But do they? (have that last name I mean). I remember playing as Egypt quite recently, and no new family members received that name

It's turn 16.
I have 15 regions - this includes Rome, Venice, and Naples. Doge just died, so I'm reconciled. My reputation is Despicable.

This one might not be fun for some but the logistic challenge adds to the satisfaction when you do win.

NAVAL INVASIONS ONLY:
1. Armies cannot cross land borders
2. Exception for win condition regions which must be saved for last

To have every faction to be your enemy at the same time

Use 1 unit of Hashashim to assault a fort defended by 20 units of peasants.
Conquer no provinces, migrate to the new world, sell all your provinces in the old world, and then invade the old world from the new world.
Play as Byzantines and recreate the Roman Empire.
Win as England in the Britannia campaign in as few turns as possible.
