Hey,
Does the MPC have similar coop gameplay as in Shogun 2, where you can actually play battles if it's a friend vs. AI or vice versa, and where you can gift units? Trying it out, all we had was auto-resolve all battles which is pathetic.

Peninsular campaign has a coop, all others are 1v1. And you cannot gift units, and you can only play against each other. But if you are allied in the 1v1 campaign, and attack at the same time (one army supports another) than u got a chance of fighting together via the reinforcements system.

Weak.
Yeah, real weak, I suppose they should have used their time machine and put features from S2 into NTW.
As Karlovacko says, co-op battles only in Peninsular campaign.
It is weak, but from my experiences NTW mpc works better than shogun's desynching. I have never finnished a Shogun MPC, and i tried a lot of them. Plus NTW is a first game with MPC anyway.

You can play battles against each other or against AI (ur opponent takes control over AI's army), but you have to select this option before the start of the campaign.

We're playing a MP campaign in Europe 1805 (Austria & Prussia co-op vs the AI as France on VH). Is there a way to fight the AI in battles or are they all auto resolve (we don't want to fight battles against each other in place of the AI) ?
Perhaps, but what's the point if you can't even play the battles. Auto-resolve is terrible anyways.Disappointing...and we know for sure CA would never patch it into the Napoleon MPC.
