Re: Questions and comments
Hey there, hopefully i have some answers to your questions, haven't played a chaos campaign yet so don't know if you become undivided. I think you have to kill the other chaos factions to do so, at any rate Chaos undivided have access to all four chaos gods units, so you can recruit all the lesser daemons of each god and their chosen. Hopefully someone who has played chaos confirms this. As for lore you could try the lexicanum site good for both 40k and fantasy lore and give you an easy to read texture. I'm currently doing a campaign as the Dark Elves. Mine has been a lot slower than other campaigns like the empire factions because of where you start with them. I'm using part of Toho's sub mod so there are way more provinces in Norsca which makes it a lot easier and more fun in my opinion. As for differences between the two factions, the Dark Elves are much more melee orientated then the High Elves in terms of units, It might be easier to play a dark elf campaign because you only start at war with the High Elves, which for me was fine because it allowed me to conquer the rebel places and build up some strength while everyone else slaughters each other and ruins their economy. Economy if you follow the High Elves guide and capture Marienburg it's probably a hell of a lot easier to play as them. Hope the wall of text helps

Re: Questions and comments
after uniting chaos you are able to build ALL chaos-units! warriors of nurgle/khorne... all demons... everything!
but not the big demons or sorcerers which will spawn someday...
that is the main difference... your "old" faction colour stays... so i would not suggest to start the game with slanesh as its colour is pink
i think that is all to say...

Re: Questions and comments
Hmm.... How come nobody has an answer for the chekists? Is there something I am missing? Because in the past I have tried to search this topic on how to recruit them and no dice.... anybody got an answer for that?

Re: Questions and comments
Just had a look in the EDB for them and this is what came up.
recruit_pool "Kislev Chekist" 0 0.05 0.99 1 requires factions { russia, } and building_present_min_level smith smith_1 and building_present_min_level academic alchemists_lab and event_counter chekis 1
recruit_pool "Kislev Chekist" 1 0.05 1 1 requires factions { russia, } and building_present_min_level smith smith_1 and building_present_min_level academic alchemists_lab and event_counter kislev_ai 1 and event_counter chekis 1
recruit_pool "Kislev Chekist" 1 0.05 1 1 requires factions { russia, } and building_present_min_level smith smith_1 and building_present_min_level academic alchemists_lab and event_counter chekis 1 and event_counter chekis_no_unit 1
so my guess is you need an event for them to spawn. Of course if you are desperate for them you could always use the create unit console command

Re: Questions and comments
The Lexicanum is generally the best source for lore.
