Never been a big fan of them or anything, but pretty big news for the music world. Suppose any fans of the band can put up their favourite song or whatever. Always liked this one, very chilled

It's a shame, but I guess that nothing lasts forever.

They have long been well beyond their prime, imo. They made good music in the early to mid 90s. After that, they didn't really produce anything substantial.

I don't know. I really liked the ir latest album.

And I'm nearly devastated. Never really cared about bands, but REM is the only band I've really cared about.

Blagh, this is plain bad news. Can't say they haven't had a good run though..

Long-overdue. Apart from very few songs, they were an abomination...

They had some memorable songs. Im happy they didnt wait until they turned 80 years old. Seriously, I dont understand some bands that still insist to play after 30, 40 years of career.

Huh? There are bands that don't sell out or making a worse music with time.

Most of the bands just get worse over time. They generally enter a creativity crisis. It seems to me that they just keep going because of the money but not for the pleasure in creating music.

Was never really a fan, only enjoyed about half of Automatic for the People and the odd song from other albums, but it's always a shame when talented artists break up. Perhaps they'll go on to produce decent solo material.

Whatever Cornell has done after Soundgarden sucked so badly that, sometimes, I wished it was a bad, bad, really bad dream.

Yeah I know, but Soundgarden were never exceptional to begin. There are countless artists who have produced awesome music after leaving their popular band though.

Soundgarden, probably, was one of the best rock bands ever. Certainly, the best grunge band. Give it another try...
