Is your copy of Rome total war patched to 1.5?
Is it installing into the proper location? (ie: you don't have extra folders in the way?)

So, this happens with every mod you install?

Right click on the shortcut you use to start the game, and on the target line add this -show_err

It often, though not in every case, will give you an idea of why the game is crashing.

Every time i try to do the show error thing it says that it's invalid and make sure the path name is correct.

And yes it happens with every mod like when i tried rtr and sparta

Are you using Windows7 or Vista? If so
    a) disable UAC
    b) install your RTW somewhere outside the Program Files folder

    Then try installing mods again.

When you right-click the launcher, make sure to select "Run as Administrator" instead of simply "Run". Even if you are the admin and have given yourself complete admin privaleges it is still best to do that. I have to do that quite a bit on my laptop despite giving myself admin privilages.

I tried re installing, it diddn't work but i realised something that i diddn't do last time.... You put -show_err -nm -mod:bi\ci at the end of the target in the shortcut. I tried it and it said the same thhing that it said when i tried the error thing. BTW i diddn't put it in program files when i re installed it.

Well, you cannot give the BI-folder in the path if you don't have BI installed.

For you the target line should look like this

    "C:\...\Rome - Total War\RomeTW.exe" -show_err -nm -mod:ci

I'm not familiar with the RTW version of the mod, but unless the file containing FATW is called ci and located in the bi folder the launch command he gave you wouldn't work.

C'mon please, we cannot help if all you tell us is "It doesn't work". What does not work? And what happens if you try to load e.g. a campaign? Do you have -show_err enabled and if so, what does the error message say?

    And please check your spelling.

You probably haven't patched your BI to 1.6. Uninstall the mod (delete the "ci" folder), patch your BI to 1.6 and re-install. It's all in the installation instructions.,

Your probably right about the not patching thing.... I tried but when i do the patch it says rome total war gold cannot be found on your computor. When i got rtr then got barbarian. So it wants to on;y patch them as gold

You might not have the right patch then. I don't recall BI 1.6 requiring RTW Gold in order to work...

Have you installed RTW using a legit disc and following the usual installation procedure?
