    Default Castle Recruitment... 1 unit max stock???

    Hi,

    So I have been enjoying the previous SS versions but that has been a long time ago. I installed SS 6.4 now and I'm looking at my castles, only to find out that I can only keep 1 unit in stock and then have to wait vast times (6-8 turns) when recruited. This accounts for the more professional units in (Late Era), like mailed dism knights, swordsmen/spearmen.

    This feels somewhat restrictive and I don't know if it is part of Real Recruitment? I have tried to disable it via the setup but I have difficulty (read: buggyish) experiences with it. Although I added the Disable RR update for SS 6.4, which now at least keeps the tick on in setup.

    While I admire the historical accuracy that is tried to be achieved here, I feel the game was made to change history and claim the world anyhow (in a non-historic accurate way), so I'd appreciate any help in order to be less restrictive... I'd like to spawn an army in castles, just like in vanilla/older SS.

    Does anyone have an idea how to change the max number of units in stock of a castle?

    Cheers,
    -Q

    recruit_pool "Noble Cavalry" 1 0.15 2 0 requires factions { lithuania, }

    The 2 that I bolded above denotes the max number of units that can be in the pool at once. If you wanted to do it manually, you'd have to go through the entire EDB and change all the 1s for every entry of every unit you want to change. And there are many entries for any given unit because the availability changes depending on the era, which requires several entries to account for each era. So this would be very tedious.

    Edit: You'd probably also want to change the replenish rate too if you want to be able to recruit them faster. The 0.15 above is the fraction of a unit that is added to the town/castle every turn. So in this case, you'd get another unit of Noble Cavalry every 6-7 turns. You could change the number to, say, 1 to get a new unit every turn, or to 2 to get 2 units every turn.

    this sucks only at the beginning! later when you have like 10 castles/citadels it will be no problem!
    and as the ai attacks you mainly with militias ( or crap ) it is enough!
    if you change this now you will have the "problem" of infinitif proffessional units in late game... it could feel like cheating... i woul suggest to change the maximum only!
    do not make it to easy as the fun will go away!

    good luck
