What are you running on (Windows 7, Vista etc.)? Have you tried installing patch 1.1 before 1.2 (Shouldn't be necessary but worth a try) have you tried running the installer as Administrator or in Compatibility mode? And have you went over to tech support and asked someone there Usually Irishron will come around and help you (He's great at this kind of stuff ).

Read the link posted by the above user, if you have windows 7 or vista make sure you have UAC disabled before you patch your copy of M2TW.

yeah thanks guys turns out i had deleted the game becuase it was corrupt but i forgot to install it so when i reinstalled it it had the corrupt files i uninstalled the game properly and now it works fine

So when I run the V1.3 patch I get this message: "This 1.03.000 update cannot be applied to the 1.03.0000 version of the game." In game in options M2TW shows its V1.02. Should I just disregard that?

Disable the UAC.
