    Yes, that was a long time ago, actually the 7.2 ghz news is pretty old too, I bet someone probably already went over that with one of the 65nm processors.

    What exactly does GHz determine? I'm not too techy, as you can obviously tell.

    Think of it as a series of waves within a certain amount of space. The distance between the peaks of each wave is 1Hz. Now imagine 300,000 of those waves and you've got 3Ghz. Get it?


    And yeah, old news. The world record is 7.22 Ghz(set by a single-core P4, btw) by Kyosen of xtremesystems.org. It was nitro-cooled, etc, etc...
