    Default Before Battle CTD

    I get a CTD when I try to start a battle of any kind. The loading bar gets about halfway down the sword and then it crashes. I am running BftB2, but this was happening before I got it.

    If running Win7 or Vista, make sure UAC is turned off and you are running SS with administrator rights.

    i do believe it has to do with your video card.

    Get a new one recently/update drivers recently?

    if not, update drivers. If just did, roll back drivers.

    did battles work before? In SS? In Vanilla?

    They worked in SS a while ago, and also in 'nilla, although I haven't played that in a while. I don't remember updating my driver any time soon.

    As soon as i click the enter battle button it CTD's on the campaign playing as venice, any battle. It does not happen on vanilla

    EDIT: Might know something that could work. Hold on.
    2nd EDIT: Did not work. The battles no longer crash at the loading screen, however. They get into the battle for a second, and then it crashes. During the spilt second in which I can see what is happening, it looks like some of my troops are standing on water and the rest on very dark grass. Maybe a texture problem.

    Unless you've set windows to roll it back, you'll have to uninstall the driver manually and then install an older version.
