Norman Knights Understimated?
Hi stainless steel community...
i am wondering why the norman knights are so weak compared to other knight units.by weak i mean, that they are equal, while norman knights, especialy in the early era, were superior charger cavalry.they were the first who couched lances(i am not sure about this),and they were very heavily armoured.they were armed with good quality chain mail, which when good quality, could be very good.Usama Ibn Munqidh, also says that he once hitted a norman knight, with full power and couched lance, but he just stood up and continue to fight. They could be like the byzantine bodyguard units,it would be balanced too, since sicily has not any other "special" very good units.or just have more charge points, since the generally "low" defence can be covered, because they did have unarmed horses.

Mate the norman knights beat any feudal cavalry in 1v1. No need to tell you the foot normans are deadly. About no other special unit, I tend to differ, they got all italian units, plus muslim archers, miles and at late great swordmans.
