Got nailed with Carthage

I picked Carthage since it seemed one of the most interesting campaigns /
Difficulty level M/M

Now i immediately disbanded all almost all the units In the capital and around it cause if i didn't i could say goodbye to income ( and i wasn't in a war with anyone ) . Now here's the problem :
Numidians .

Now I'm not exactly sure which turn it is ( Because overview is messed with some unnecessary stupidities like Which regions should i conquer ( I mean really who even follows those objectives ? )) but I'm sure it's no more then 13 turns .

So here it is my two biggest town are besieged ( Utica and Carthage )by huge Numidian armies who didn't even bother to conquer one rebel city but immediately jumped on the strongest faction and which is their ally .

My income sky rocketed down ( I guess Carthage is 50% of my income ) and now it's impossible to keep the front in Sicily or do anything involving money anywhere else .

Oh yeah and it's matter of question before whole Spain and Rome attack me , And Epirus overwhelms Sicily .

So any advice ?

I don't see any other option but restart campaign , blitz Numidia and everything else before they attack me .
Also guys keep in mind i have 1 or maybe 2 turns and numidians will attack the cities . So that leaves me without Carthage and Utica and probably other neighbor cities .

In order to prevent two common problems in Rome: Total War and its mods, Fate of Empires includes scripts which run in the background that keep AI factions solvent while also preventing human players from making excessive amounts of money.

So no matter what i can't be rich ?Anyway to remove this script ?

The early game is designed to put you into debt, but you have a very large treasury. Might I suggest trying to bring some armies home from Sicily and pacifying the Numidians? Then focus on capturing rebel cities and towns. Also, make sure all your minor regions are on the "very high" tax option.

The thing is i can't leave anything from Sicily there's an open war with Pyrrhus .

However i didn't think of that , i know it's recommendable to keep the taxes low on major cities and higher on minor but won't that suck them dry ?

Also guys keep in mind i have 1 or maybe 2 turns and numidians will attack the cities . So that leaves me without Carthage and Utica and probably other neighbor cities .

I'd restart the campaign. You should never have disbanded your starting armies; instead use them to conquer regions and get some trade rights for a financial surplus.

But there isn't anything close Carthage to conquer everything is to far ( enough far for my income to sink into fiery debts ) and of course i get trade rights with everybody i can .

I don't know who wrote that, but he either had a few drinks or was not sound of mind (or both), but that on the wiki isn't true at all. Could you maybe give a link to where you found it so I can fix it (was it on wikipedia?)? There's no such script that takes money away from the player...

Also, your capital (as any faction) is VERY important. You will get a lot of penalties if you manage to lose it, so always protect it at any cost!

The AI appears to work like thi,s if the border cites of the player, have a very low garrison, it attacks.

So But I'l have no money then

And Iberain tribes are surely behave similar like Numidians

1-Destroy your navy and disband the Chariot unit.
(No need for them your starting armys are good).

2-Next use your army to conquer Sicily, epirus will by involve in a two front wars.

3-In North Africa kepp all your cites it garrison and mobile force in Carthage ready to attack the Numidian, if they came your way.
The AI appears to work like thi,s if the border cites of the player, have a very low garrison, it attacks.

Tip: Don't bother with Kirtha, it's bugged (official), take it, and destroy all the buildings and collect the cash, let it revolt back.

I'd give up Iberia and Sicily, return my armies back to Carthage and make things good again...

Got to admire the AI for attacking Carthage when they least expect it. It was their one chance to strike at the heart of Carthage and fight for the rich lands of N. Africa. Winner takes all!

If I was you I would stick with the campaign and do everything you can to prevent your home cities from falling, even if that means abandoning Sicily. Take your brutal revenge on the Numidians and then get ready to fight for Sicily again. Learn from your mistakes. Moments like this are the most fun for me, I love it when it's survival mode!

If you are really struggling for cash, maybe it would be worth liquidating some of your assests on Sicily. The Aiakides will benefit from them otherwise. But then you'll have to start from scratch on Sicily when you reconquer it.....

Just got an idea that there is a script like that and naturaly it makes your campaign slower which means you spend more time on RTR , i think I'm on something big here

Probably one small piece of Puzzle which is RTR's plan to dominate the PC World

I guess as Carthage you have to sacrifice one colony .And i guess AI controlled numidia is always doomed .

Hope so, quelling sicily at the moment, the Lusitani's are sweeping across Iberia as we speak, I have three provinces inc Carth No, looking forward to that challenge as and when, just a friendly barb faction acting as buffer now. Cllear up N. Africa, conquer Sic, and onwards and indeed upwards thru Iberia after that. I can see the Aedui taking most of western europe before I have the peninsula though. The of course ROME!!!
