Help unable to save file to disk!!!????

Hi im encoutering this problem where when I try to save a game it will come up saying "Unable to save file to disk". The only mod I have done is the unlock all factions mod and I think it is this thats causing me to not be able to save the game. I have uninstalled the game then reinstalled it and when I test it out it works fine and im able to save the game it's just when I unlock all the factions does it then come up and say "Unable to save file to disk".

Now I know some of you may say just don't bother unlocking the factions and just play the game normally but I would rather be able to play the faction of my choice from the beginning so if anyone is able to help me I would much appreciate it.

Have you checked that you have permission to write files to the disk?

It may be that the folder you are saving to is set up as 'read-only'. As Goldentoad has posted this may be because the Windows accont you are using is not set up with administrator rights or for some reason the folder itself is set up as read-only.

Where have you installed the game?
What operating system are you using?
If you are using Windows Vista/7 what have you done with the UAC (User Account Control)?

I don't think it can be anything else really, although I've never had that problem before.
