i have no sound in the game

Obvious first question, is it muted in the Sound Options screen?

I have the same problem. I get Napoleon doing his opening speech 'I have many enemies etc.' but as soon as the game proper starts its completely silent.

I've tried completely uninstalling it and I've re-installed from scratch with steam but still no sound at all. I made sure I deleted everything before re-installing but it's still silent.

Ok! After a lot of phaffing about I seem to have solve the problem.

The solution was to find the folder where NTW stores all its saved games.

In my case it was C:\Documents and Settings\<my name>\Application Data\The Creative Assembly\Napoleon.

As well as the saved games folder there is another folder in there called Scripts, and in that folder were two files user.scripts and preferences.scripts. I just deleted both of them and the sound worked fine afterwards.
