    Default Realism with English

It is kind of, not entirely, bothersome that RTR still uses the vanilla voices for units. However I am not here to suggest that the RTR team goes out and hires professional voice actors, nay I am here to offer something. That offering is quite simple, I'm sure here there are more than enough people willing to lend their voices to the project and if not, I do know people IRL that would as well on one condition: the phrases were in the language of the actual factions. Now is this just an idea, feel free to flame hack and maim me. I've read it all before.

If you're playing Roman you can use Latin Voice Mod.

It would be nice if we could extend such an honor to all the factions though

Well for personal use you can use EB ones... I don't have latest EB version but I think they have other languages as well if not mistaken. Probably Greek and Celt/Gallic.

However if you want to start the project maybe something for R2TR.. if the team would like to move on to Med 2 engine.

Once RTR VII is complete (no more patches, fixes etc) I believe the RTW/BI engine will be abandon except for normal support whenever possible.

It would require extensive research on the languages (People who have a lot of knowledge of Ancient Greek, Gallic, Celtic, and Punic would be needed; I myself am learning Latin, and know the pronunciations of Ancient Greek to an extent, but one would need far more than that.)
It would require voice actors with access to high-end recording devices, so as not to sound as though it's coming over a microphone. Any voice actors would also need to be able to pronounce the words correctly.

I've considered trying to do something like this myself, but I don't have access to a good mic.
EB has already done it, and quite some time ago I asked about putting it into a sub-mod. I'm not sure what their decision came to, as they've been very busy with EBII.
Doing something about this has been on my after-release priority list for a long time. I'll have to do some investigation about what the possibilities are, but I'm hoping that this holiday season I'll be able to get a good recording setup, and hopefully find some help with the research for the phrases.

We just don't have the resources to spend on a project like that, but like stated above, it would make a great submod!

We should also rewrite all the info scrolls in the native language!
