Default Why is it that most of my named generals get the Deranged trait?

Most of my named generals in ANY campaign in SS6.4 get the Deranged trait eventually, without fail?
    It's unrealistic, IMO.

Also regarding that set of traits, why are there no triggers for player characters to reverse the "Skewed View" trait, as anything beyond that is irreparable?

Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
    Trigger Possible_Philosophical_Reflection_On_War2
    WhenToTest PostBattle

    Condition IsGeneral
    and GeneralFoughtInCombat
    and PercentageBodyguardKilled > 40
    and PercentageEnemyKilled > 50

    Affects Hardened 1 Chance 10

    Trigger General_Takes_Life_Loses_Friends_For_Nothing2
    WhenToTest PostBattle

    Condition IsGeneral
    and not WonBattle
    and GeneralNumKillsInBattle > 0
    and PercentageBodyguardKilled > 25

    Affects Hardened 1 Chance 10

    ;------------------------------------------
    Trigger Insane_From_Wars
    WhenToTest CharacterTurnEnd

    Condition Trait Hardened >= 4

    Affects Deranged 1 Chance 2

Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
    Trigger agents10
    WhenToTest SufferAssassinationAttempt

    Condition Trait Paranoia >= 3

    Affects Deranged 1 Chance 17

Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
    Trigger agents11
    WhenToTest SufferAssassinationAttempt

    Affects Xenophobia 1 Chance 8
    Affects Introvert 1 Chance 25
    Affects Deranged 1 Chance 3

Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
    Trigger disaster
    WhenToTest CharacterDamagedByDisaster

    Condition RandomPercent < 96

    Affects Superstitious 1 Chance 5
    Affects Deranged 1 Chance 1

So basically losing a lot of your bodyguard in a battle will cause the general to get the hardened trait. If his hardened trait is high enough, it gives him a chance of getting the deranged trait. Also, assassination attempts and being affected by disasters can caused the deranged trait.

I'm fine with a general losing his mind from war, but the named characters in my campaign
that are getting this trait are just sitting around in settlements.

    It's odd.
I also know for a fact that it's not assassination attempts that are causing it, because I'm the one doing
    the assassinations, not my enemies.

Then get rid of the triggers that cause deranged. Or for ones with multiple effects, delete the deranged line.

Yeah, I'll probably have to do that.

    Thanks for helping.
