The classic topic, and a hotly debated one. Who is the best Beatle? Who is your favorite Beatle?

    John

    Paul

    George

    Or Ringo?

Well, as is probably obvious from my avatar, George is my favorite, followed by Paul. I think John was a dick...

When you create songs that you feel are extremely good, and somebody else produces songs that get the A-side, it is reasonable that you'll get angry. For example, John produced the song Revolution, which he was fond of, but, at the same time, Paul goes and composes Hey Jude, which steals the #1 for about seven weeks. I wouldn't be happy, and John certainly wasn't. This was one of the reasons the Beatles broke up; they discovered their individual talents [and got sick of each other ].

George would've been my second pick, mainly because I love the songs he produced and the sound of his guitar. (or sitar)

Ringo...well, he didn't produce many songs, but he can be heard singing in I Wanna Be Your Man and Good Night, which, I might like to add, are good songs. (They are also completely different; the former is upbeat, the latter makes you want to sleep )

Why George of course. You can't beat Taxman for one of his more upbeat songs.

How so? They were all 25% of the Beatles. If one of them hadnt been present, The beatles would of been radically different.

I voted George. You all know I love his Beatles & Solo career. Him & Paul have/had an amazing career.

I didn't say that John was the Beatles, I said he was the brains behind them..as in he wrote a lot of the songs and had a lot of the ideas for the band, most notably the world peace theme.

I thought that Paul would be in second place but I was not at all surprised to see John in first. Power to the people!

If you've seen A Hard Day's Night, you'll notice that somebody else gets that honor. Anyway, he sang in a few songs, time to quote myself:

But didn't the Beatles have a drummer earlier in their career?
Unless I'm mistaken, I liked the other guy better.

Pete Best? Bah, he was not good in my opinion, and supposedly he didn't play "well" enough, which was one reason for him being fired. The other guy was Stuart Sutcliffe, but he left for his own reasons. (He also died a few months after) If you'll look at the cover of the album Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band, towards the left of the picture will be a picture of Stuart Sutcliffe, the ex-Beatle. I can't see Pete Best there, however, I wonder why.

Ringo IS a drummer, so he was destined to not be as popular as anyone else in the band.
But he's still a pretty cool guy.
