My saved games won't load..

I can't seem to load any of my preiously saved games. They all appear to be there on the "load campaign game" screen. The problem is that when I try to load them, the loading screen is normal except the faction symbol is missing. It loads but it takes me right back to the main menu. This started happening after my computer went into hibernation mode automatically due to a low battery when I was in the middle of a game. (Smart move on my part I know). As far as I know this only happens to the games I had saved before that point. Can anyone give me a hand in diagnosing/fixing this problem?

Can you start a new campaign with no trouble?

Yes. I've started one since then.

Saved files get corrupted all the time if it's not that then you might have modded core files and that's why the saved game is not compatible anymore.

I presume as you have a number of save games that you don't use AutoSave or QuickSave? Apparently, they are known to be buggy and they use the same bit of code.
