whats the best setting for me ?

i am playing spqr 6.1

and i dont no wat settings to use i play on med exept unit detail high large scale (should i use huge???????????

pc specs

2.2 ghz athlon 3100
ati radeon 9550 500
ram 500/900

You could probably play on huge settings, and everything else medium.

Try medium settings on everything, and High for Unit details.

Also play on 1024x768x32 for campaign and battle maps.

Also you should be able to play Huge but bridge battles will be a slide show, also make sure no Antivirus is running in the background or any other programs that may slow your game. If you get alot of CTDs or Bad framerate in Open battles play on Large settings for units instead of Huge.

Yeah thranduil,from your system specs,SPQR is a tall order for your system.Your doing well to have 6400 men on the battlefield.
LT's advice for resolution is crucial for your system to have a chance to perform well. Adnin's advice is right on too and LT is the creator/designer of SPQR so follow their advice closely.
Make sure Antialaising is on LOW in the games option menu! Also turn OFF grass,smoke and dust.

I would recommend that anti-alaising be turned off. This also causes some major lag.

Can it be turned completely off, in game? My options are "low" and "high".I can turn it off on my X850XT through Catalyst but I'm not sure he can on a Radeon 9550,can he? I've never owned one of those.Yeah, AA will cause lag on even the best cards out...
