Unable to continue current Roman campaign.

Hello there,

I've been playing Roma Surrectum II for quite some time now and really enjoying it! I never encountered any serious problems/CTD's or anything. Today however I encounter the following problem:

Been playing a Rome campaign for some time now. Played it last night for the last time and had no problems at all. But this morning I wanted to play again but it crashes when I press: ''Play Roma Surrectum II'' and I get the following message: ''Rome Total War: Barbarian Invasion does not work anymore.'' Rebooted the PC, nothing changed. Also, all the other factions work without problems. Only Rome just won't launch anymore..

I use Windows Vista, Intel Pentium CPU T3200 2.00 GHZ, 32-bit. No steam. I am adminstrator. Also, my RTW folder is in my Documents. May be important: last night I saved the game, went back to the main menu and then pressed exit. So I didn't ''alt-f4'' or something..

Hope you have some idea's on how to fix this! Thanks in advance

Has anything happened to the R:TW BI exe?

I see you have a Windows update active (or a message that tells you there is an update).

I'd suggest never installing games into the 'My Documents' folder - always create a folder on your hard drive and don't use such folders or the program files folders.
