Installation Problem

Well, I've downloaded both EB 1.1 and1.2 and began the process of installing EB when I realized I kept bumping into the same problem over and over again.

My version was 1.1, and I've already patched mine to 1.5 as it required, I installed it into my main file, the file which contains my main body files of the original RTW, and when I install it, everything is fine until about 90%, when a window pops out with the written:

"An erroroccurred while trying to create a file in the destination directory: setup was unable to create the directory..."

Well, it'll be quicker if i just post the screenshot

I'm going nuts, its unable to install properly and I want to play EB so bad...

PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!

Don't install EB into Program Files while using Vista/Win7.
Just copy your RTW 1.5 version to a safe place (e.g. c:\games) and install EB into this location. If you still have problems try first to redownload the installer from a different source.
Stick to How to install EB for general informations.

Iit still doesn't work, I installed it in the C drive, not in the program files, but independently, however, it still doesn't work, and my installation of EB just stops in the middle with the same message that tells me that it couldn't create the file directory or something about map47. something like that....

Any other Backup plans?

Redownload with torrent (this will give you a 100% clean installer), disable Antivir-programs and UAC while installing.

If that fails, download Uniextractor extract the installers and post again, I'll give you a guide for that then.

Downloaded it from Filefront again to no avail. I'll try downloading it with Torrent tomorrow, I am honestly sure that the file has a problem, it doesn't matter where i open it, it always pops out the same message. I am going nuts....

It doesn;t work, it keeps getting stuck on one particular file, something about map047 or something...
Sigh* guess the only game I'll get to play is RTW Platinium....

You install EB over a 100% clean RTW 1.5 version?
You have UAC and AntiVir-programs disabled?
You install EB outside Program Files?

If you did all above and the furthermore downloaded the file from different sources (with different browsers and torrent) the error comes from your PC and software. Difficult to say from here.

Download Uniextractor?!
