Faction Leader Ancillary

Just a quick question here, I am playing as Jerusalem. My king died, so I put my new king in Jerusalem the next turn. But he never got the "King of Jerusalem" ancillary, although he still has the Duke of Damascus ancillary from when I used him to conquer that city. So does that King of Jerusalem ancillary die out with the first king ? Or am I doing something wrong here

You have to give the Duke ancillary to someone else.

So, let a young general with no ancillaries go to Damascus and stay there for a couple of turns ? Is there only room for 1 gubernatorial ancillary ?

each general/family member can have one city title ancillary. You can drag and drop those titles to generals on the same stack. So basically you want to give the Damascus ancillary to somebody else and get your new king into Jerusalem ;-)

Technically they can have many titles. They can only acquire a single title by staying in a settlement, but it's perfectly possible to transfer more than one title to the same character.

There's a few ancillaries you can't trade over, Joan of Arc, Taticius... this list will go on for a while though.

I changed my export_descr_ancillaries.txt (located in ...\mods\SS6.3\data) where it says "Transferrable 0" the 0 to a 1 and saved it. I only transfer them when a character is really old and I have a younger general nearby to "inherit" them from the old codger.

I knew you could do that, but if go by whats there, some aren't transferable, anyway, Joan of Arc beyond her lifetime is kinda silly.
