    Default Sengoku - official discussion

As the title suggests, this is official thread to discuss the new Paradox title - Sengoku, which is coming out this Tuesday (Sep 13th).

Feel free to discuss anything about this game; by the way my personal choice clan for first round is going to Date (if you did not notice in the demo Date clan has no vassals at beginning and control four provinces directly - meaning you can create your own vassals later on without worrying rebellion).

I will probably go with Shimuzu because of the great starting position but from the demo I do believe that the biggest problem will be all the vassals so I must keep my honour high in the beginning.
These fine gentlemen's have thanks to their consistent idiotic posts have earned their place on my ignore list: mrmouth, The Illusionist, motiv-8, mongrel, azoth, thorn777 and elfdude. If you want to join their honourable rank you just have to post idiotic posts and you will get there in no time.

They only own two provinces at beginning anyway.

Well there are some vassals as well, my plan is just to wait a year or two building up a retinue and allow my vassals to do the same before attacking the guys just above me and add some more to my demesne.

That is -20 honor in case you don't know; when your honor drop below 10 your leader has to commit seppuku.

I know, but you're not forced to commit Seppoku but your vassals will hate you and make life a hassle, that's also why I will wait a while before expanding.

Yeah, you're not forced to commit seppuku at <10. If you're not clan leader, maybe. As clan leader, you just have alot of hate thrown your way by your vassals, and then you have to deal with that. If you do conquer new land, you can offset some of the honor drop with land grants.

It's pretty fun but I dunno if I will be able to conquer half of Japan in time because right now I have 8 % and it's 1512, I also think the battles will be enormous later on since with my eight percent I have 70 000 soldiers that I will be able to levy with about 15 000 retinue split up between me and my vassals.

Date is retarded fun; your neighbours are either very weak or too busy killing eachothers, and my leader breed kids like rabbits that I can appoint my kids as land protectors without rebellion.

Up to 20 % now, I just got into a couple of wars where the enemy was fighting on other fronts and released my horde of vassals with only mobilising small parts of the levy. Those Uesegi bastards have 30 % though and Takeda is quite strong as well, found a Tokugawa dude as a Ronin as well and made him my vassal. It's quite easy to bred kids as well with four wives but there seems to be a tradition in the Shimuzu family that every male is absolutely worthless on the field of battle. Those Ikko Ikko bastards are a pain, especially in mountainous provinces.

Great, I start a Nanbu game and smash my way into south within thirty years; now I control about 10% of lands and the time is 1503. However, I run into a serious vassal shortage as no one even want to be the servants of great Nanbu clan... I have no idea what is going on but is there any way to get vassals?

My honor is very high, since I have too much cash to give Emperor. What I need is Courtier, by the way.

Damned, after two days of testing I would say this game is probably a good successor for an EU3/Rome/Crusader Kings hybrid. Now my only problem is someone needs to nerf Yamana.

Ya, this game probably is best Paradox game for MP, since it is brutal, fast pace and quite balance for all faction.

Damned, the whole game is like a blitzkrieg that I cannot remember how many years that I was even in peace; it seems I always start a new war every five years.

Does anyone know if this game will be released in Australia? As I don't seem to see it anywhere.
