Faustus had taken the Rostra to himself, as Tribune of the Plebs it was rather easy and he had seen the Rostra a lot in the past few weeks, to him it was a powerful tool to control the mob...to others, mainly patricians, it was a serious problem, considering most of the mob were Plebeians and few Patricians ventured from their country villas to Rome without a reason such as business or voting. Faustus had a goal besides a campaign or other nature...this time it was business, something he considered the beginning of his plans. "Plebeians and Patricians alike...I bring grave news of corruption from the halls of the Senate...from the very man sworn to uphold Roman law!" Faustus alluded to the Praetor brief, those who had followed him to the Rostra knew exactly what he was talking about...
"Praetor Spurius Geminius Scaeva has deceived you all, has lied to you all, had broken the laws of Rome and laws of Roman morals!" Faustus emphasized his words carefully, giving weight to things such as broken and laws. Several people were heard shouting, obviously anti-Patrician Plebeians. "Praetor Scaeva lied to you, that poor girl that was torn apart by the very members of this mob are not responsible for her death. Praetor Scaeva is directly responsible! Scaeva fabricated evidence and I have that very proof!" Faustus motioned and two of his guards walked with a feeble man dressed in a nice toga, obviously a Patrician. "Antonius...please tell these people what you told me." Faustus motioned his men away and stepped away, so none could call fowl.
The man spoke, the crowd listened. Faustus folded his arms across his chest and watched in awe as the people begun to jeer and shout as more and more information was revealed. Antonius ended and stepped away shamefully, it was all the evidence the people needed, even some of the Patricians in Rome were cheering for justice. "Ladies and Gentlemen....it is why, immediately I will motion that Praetor Scaeva be dismissed from office and brought on trial for charges of corruption and interfering with justice, I will also seek his disbarment from public office!" Faustus stepped away from the Rostra, the mob was calling for justice, but blood would do just fine as a substitute.
