Villa of Lucius Petrus Dextrus

On the coast to the south of Rome, and in truth, closer to Napoli, this villa is the home of Lucius Petrus Dextrus. It is more of a village, in truth, but the people who live within it provide an atmosphere Lucius finds calming and reminds him of Pompeii.

Lucius leaves his paperwork alone and stands to greet the Consul.

Ave, Consul! I cannot say you are the first of your office to grace my home, but I can say I am glad you have come!

Well, I must thank you for your kindness. However, this wine is not from Roma, but from Basilicata, in the south. I find that the earth there yields some of the best grapes in all Italia. I can give you the name of the winery, if you'd like

Aulus said the last with a slight bow, he was still decidedly weary from his travels but in a healthy manner.

"I was hoping that we could simply sit, and discuss that which is most important."

Hah, understandable. I detest the atmosphere of large cities, the countryside is much more beautiful... not to mention you can walk without fear of anything falling on your head. Lucius leads the other men into a smaller room with a large table in the center, along with several comfortable-looking chairs. Several slaves are standing by with platters of olives and fruit if their betters became peckish. Lucius took a seat.

It was a small place, I grew up on my fathers estate, my family owned several nearby holdings... there isn't much else to say. Unless of course you were referring to Roma?"
