I've been looking forward to this for quite some time, it has a spectacular cast and I've felt that the novel really deserved the proper film treatment. Coming out here in the UK and Ireland on the 16th, not sure if you'll see it in America but I bloody well hope so.

Despite everything I'm more interested in seeing how Tom Hardy fairs here, I've been saying that he'd make a great bond since Layer Cake, it'll be interesting to see him in this.

Benedict Cumberbatch is awesome. Awesome cast, will struggle to live up to expectations tbh.
A new mobile phone tower went up in a town in the USA, and the local newspaper asked a number of people what they thought of it. Some said they noticed their cellphone reception was better. Some said they noticed the tower was affecting their health.

A local administrator was asked to comment. He nodded sagely, and said simply: "Wow. And think about how much more pronounced these effects will be once the tower is actually operational."

Indeed, the entire cast has a lot to live up to with this but I'm confident that if nothing else it will be a solid spy thriller flick.

I can't wait to see this! I have only recently starting reading Le Carré's novels - I've not read Tinker Tailor yet - so I was mighty ing annoying when a BBC article about how accurate is Tinker Tailor? tells you who the damn mole is! (so don't read that article )

    Why did you read it?!

To be fair though, it has been about four decades now, I don't think they need to spoiler warn it
