    Just out of curiosity, was this title made up, or does it have some basis in the Lore? I am well-read in Tolkien, and don't remember this being a title for the commander-in-chief of Gondor's armies...

    I assume fan fiction, it's possible it is a word based on Elvish though. For Dale we gave them invented titles but based on the Gothic language, since Tolkien seems to have intended this as the realworld background for Dale/Rhovanion.
