    Default IPv6 problems

Hey gents. Recently, I began to have problems connecting to the internet with the IPv6 protocol. Upon examining the protocol, and switching down to IPv4, I found that something had set the IPV6 address to fe80::246f:8f42:9556:7e2f%11 , and that attempts to automatically set and reset the IP address (automatically find DNS server and IP address) returned it to this state.

If anyone could please help, I'd appreciate it.

First of all that doesn't strike as problematic as your router has assigned that IP address to you. What IP address are you expecting to get? Why do you think its an IP issue as opposed to an issue with your ISP?

Well, the part where my IPv6 refuses to connect to the internet is the hint, and the part where that isn't the IPv6 address my ISP assigned me. I think it's a Winsock problem, but I've already reset that to no avail.

It shouldn't be the IPv6 your ISP assigned to you, your router has or at least should have that IP address, the IP address your computer has is the one assigned by the router.

Well, whichever, the problem is that the IPv6 address is not a valid address.
