    Default got a mod for bi - fast fight

    Where do i upload to? [My first mod]

    This works on my pc and should work in any copy of BI 1.6, if not – please tell me! Its not all that realistic but enhances the strategy value – still needs work on finance balancing. Its only three stats files so can easily be replaced – so have fun!

    EXTREME_WAR_ BETA 1.0_____for BI 1.6. with any all factions mod. Or on its own if you manually add e'g' celts, berbers or any starting faction.
    Here: C:\Program Files\activision\Rome - Total War\bi\data\world\maps\campaign\barbarian_invasion – 'descr_strat' folder
    Features;
    many changes inc;
    changes berbers to moors, and huns to white huns. [with existing hun horses, as the contrast looks good i think]
    adds new units from the existing BI skins to most factions.
    Rebalance of stats to give a more 'medieval' feel.
    Up to double size seige equipment, for siege onslaught.
    New and enhanced celts units.
    many new elite units, and the heavy units will be much more heavy.
    Elite archers huns and moors, can shoot faster and harder.
    Moors units fight much faster and have strong attack to make up for lack of defence.

    Many 'early knights' style units [e.g. paladins use cataphract horse].

    If you want to change all the flags from berbers to the moors just copy the already existing MOORS flags/standards from here; [should be similar in your rtw folder]

    C:\Program Files\activision\Rome - Total War\bi\data\models\textures

    then paste in a new folder - rename the files from moors to BERBERS, then paste and overwrite berbers with the renamed moors standards.
    Stats changed are:

    1.export_descr_unit
    2.export_descr_buildings
    3.descr_model_battle

    eh medievil style, this is the dark ages, the sack of rome, the middle ages dont start until willam of normandy goes to hastings which isnt hastings

    if all you've changed are text files, you should be able to zip them and post them here.(go advanced manage attachments). but i think you mod will vanish if it's left in the workshop to long and does'nt gather interest quickly,might be better in mini mods/light conversions.

    i think you could do with a snappier title,fast fight latin to english,

    oppugno = to fight against, attack, assault, assail.
    pugna = fight, battle, conflict, set-to.
    pugnacitas = the desire to fight, pugnacity.
    pugno = to fight.

    By medieval i mainly mean that the gameplay is more like mtw – longer battles and the variation between heavy infantry and light is greater – as i feel it would be in reality. Of course the cataphracts arent realistic but who cares – it makes for some interesting strategic play imo. I just been playing as the moors [who can have siege weapons – which the berbers did not], - great fun!

    Still a lot of work to be done but whats the point as med 2 would probably be out before i could do anything more substantial. As the berbers were light armoured i changed the speed of reload to 1:1 so they reload and fire almost immidiately – and increased the amount of soldiers in most units too. same applies to sword units - they are lighter so they can move faster [some now move 5:1 or 1:1 as opposed to 25:1 being the original speed [time between attacks]. The celts now have grail knights and i changed the hounds of cuculain as i hated that look – not very realistic but it wasn't to begin with and at least now they are an exiting faction to play.

    Hmm now to work out the upload thing...
