Game crashes

When I try to play RSII the game crashes. What is happening is the following: I choose a faction and get to the battlemap. I activate the script and choose to fight the battle against Hannibal (playing as Rome). So far so good. The game loads the battle (you know the loading screen with the quotations) but when thats done the screen turns black and I'm sent to my desktop and a window pops up saying RSII didn't answer bla bla bla the usual stuff when a program crashes in windows. What's wrong?

Ok, quiet weird, I turned off the choice "play with high-res units" and it worked. Anyone knowing why?

You should ask questions like this in the technical help section. As it is working we'll close this later, but to answer your question, it's probably just the graphics settings, when you get crashes like this, the first thing to do is to reduce the number of units and lower settings from high to medium.

You are right ofcourse, I was so eager to play that I didn't even notice a technical section. I see, then maybe that was the problem
